About Me

Hi! I’m Laney. I’m 26 and am currently studying abroad in Newcastle, Australia. My home is in Fayetteville, Arkansas where I am studying to be a data analyst. I’m taking two classes at the Univeristy of Newcastle that will transfer into my degree, and two electives: Creative Writing {Short Fiction}, and Intro to Programming, both of which I am thoroughly enjoying!

I love what I am studying, but what I am really passionate about is travel, photography, music, and other creative endeavors. I’ve been taking photos since I was fifteen or so, but have never had a place where I could share all my photos. I take so many of them, and because of this, social media has only ever offered a limited view into my photography. I am very excited to be able to post unlimited amounts of photos here, even if it is only my friends and family that ever see them.

I will, of course, be posting many photos during my semester abroad, but I also hope to keep this blog going once I graduate and am able to travel more frequently. My ultimate career goal is to be able to work remotely and therefore travel wherever I want, whenever I want. I’ve had a vague version of this dream floating around in my head for a long time now and being in Australia has it feeling closer and more attainable than ever before.
